As our name says, this site is all about Chroma Key;
"The process of overlaying one video signal over another, the
areas of overlay being defined by a specific range of colour, or chrominance,
on the background signal" (Quantel
Digital Factbook).
On this site we've collected information, content, software, and links
to other relevant Chroma Key resources.
The Litering
is a component of the Chromatte system,
it is the ring of LEDs that shines onto the material. If there is
any additional information missing from these pages that you think
is relevant, please feel free to send an email to info@chromakey.tv.

The Litering works with Chromatte
to create a chroma key without any light or spill. The Litering is
a circular arrangement of bright blue or green light emitting diodes
(LEDs) mounted around the camera lens. The Litering provides all the
necessary source light required to illuminate the Chromatte fabric
for keying. Manufactured in two sizes, it is compatible with most
digital video and professional camera lenses. The AC powered Litering
Controller (LRC) allows you to adjust the intensity of light required
for optimum keying results. |

The Litering
works in conjunction with our reflective Chromatte fabric. Together
they efficiently use the Litering's narrow wavelength of light to
generate a brilliant but low level and even colored background, producing
excellent chroma key results. The Litering is fixed to the camera
and is positioned fractionally behind the front of the lens. Lightweight
and detachable in seconds, if you want to change from a blue to a
green key you simply unscrew and replace with a different colored
Litering. |
